ジャケット：2つ折りのベースにレコード用とブックレット用のポケットを貼り付けたたいへん凝った作りの見開きジャケットです。非コーティングの白地という厳しい条件ですが、わずかな薄汚れがあるのみ、ぴんとした美品です。
ディスク：レーベルはヒゲ無し。盤面はごくわずかな使用感のみの美品です。ざっと聴き流しました。静音部で軽微なチリプチ少し。全編良好に鑑賞できると思います。実際の音源を参考にしてください。
マトリクス末尾はA-1U/B-1U。
豪華ブックレット（美品）付属。写真を取り忘れましたが歌詞入り専用内袋（美品）付属。ステッカー付属（未使用）。

フェアポートの通算7枚目71年作「ババカム・リー」。
デイヴ・スワブリックが古物屋で見つけたという古い新聞の切り抜きファイルをもとに制作された、渾身の一大叙事詩であります。
主人公John "Babbacombe" Leeの少年時代から始まって、無実の罪を着せられて死刑判決、絞首台に登ったものの3回にわたって死刑執行の失敗、結果開放されるまでの数奇な人生が語られていきます。
物語の詳細は付属のブックレットでどうぞ。
びしっと決まるタイトな演奏がたまらない傑作です。
リチャード・トンプソンが去った後のサイモン・ニコルの頑張りが特に目を引きますね。
個人的な考えですがここまでが「オリジナル・フェアポート」という印象が強くあります。英国フォークファンの方はフェアポートもこのアルバムまではきちんと聴きましょう。
オリジナルの名曲を多数収録した名作です。
